Hi friends! As you all know, sharing about businesses and the (lady) bosses behind them is one of my favorite things to write about. It’s even more exciting when they are local. Antica Farmacista is a Seattle-based luxury home fragrance brand found in high end retailers and hotels. The brand has expanded to offerings such as candles, bath and body products, and so on. The distinctive, rich fragrances and packaging really set the brand apart. After using some of the products in the past few weeks, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. If you’ve got other ideas for holiday presents, you can still gift these products for future birthdays, graduations, etc.
Clearly, you can tell that Antica Farmacista doesn’t skimp on packaging. As a previous marketing student, I really appreciate branding and product design. From the box to the weight of the glass to the colors, the details are so beautiful. The Champagne Black Label collection is the star of this holiday season and it’s the absolute perfect scent. If you’re into crisp, citrusy scents that are still rich and perfect for winter, this is a winner. The scents are potent which is perfect because a little can go a long way. This is exactly the type of gift I would like to receive. Not only can it be enjoyed for a long time, afterwards you can definitely keep the packaging as decoration. I should note that I am normally sensitive to fragrances and can’t light just any candle. With Antica Farmacista, I have no sensitivity whatsoever.
Shop the whole collection here – although this certain box is already sold out, you can still get the room spray and other goodies!
I also wanted to give shout out to the co-founders and masterminds behind Antica Farmacista. I studied business in college, so it’s really exciting for me to collaborate with brands that were built by female entrepreneurs. Shelley Callaghan and Susanne Pruitt come from business backgrounds and became business partners after being longtime friends. They are also wives, mothers, and are involved in what sounds like a lot of outdoor activities and fun hobbies! When I was researching Antica Farmacista, I stumbled across this guest post that Susanne wrote in which she talks about standing up to breast cancer. If you didn’t know, my own mom is battling breast cancer and going through chemotherapy. Reading Susanne’s post touched me so deeply for obvious reasons. I am so inspired by her outlook on life and spirit. It’s also so great to see that Antica Farmacista was involved in raising money for breast cancer awareness during October, which is breast cancer awareness month. I encourage you to read Susanne’s interview here – this line especially stood out to me: “You never wish for cancer, but it can be just the renewed energy and awakening someone needs”. Thank you to both Susanne and Shelley for being inspirations!
