There’s a new game changer in town that’s going to make you question your loyalty to any other nail place in the area, trust me. Recently I got a manicure and pedicure at Juniper Natural Nail Bar in West Seattle and it was such a lovely experience that I think I’m turning into a nail salon gal and this is coming from someone who is religious about doing their own nails at home. (You will almost never catch me without polish, not kidding about the religious part.) Read on to hear more about my experience, why I loved Juniper, and to see some pictures of its charming interior!
As if you couldn’t tell from the pictures, Juniper has the cutest decor and is a blogger’s dream because even the smallest details were paid attention to. From the mug rack, the type of sink in the bathroom, to the cute sayings – I was in heaven. I appreciated the comfortable chairs because most nail salons have those tacky pedicure chairs. When can I move in? Aesthetics are important to me but customer service is what makes or breaks an experience for me. I had the opportunity to work with Manna who was so incredibly sweet and made the experience more than comfortable for me. She even remembered the smallest details – like offering me tea after the pedicure, which was literally 45 minutes after I said that I might want some tea later. By the way, complimentary champagne or coffee or tea is part of your pampering experience ;)
Juniper is unique because everything is natural and products that are used throughout your treatment are locally sourced, organic, and cruelty free. From the moisturizing creams to the bath salts, everything smelled delicious and felt so luxurious. There are plenty of products that you can purchase as well, so if you’re looking for gifts for a girlfriend or a family member, a gift certificate for some nail pampering and some products would be perfect!
I wish that I had noted which polishes I chose but I can still give you a description at least! On my fingernails I have a deep gray that has some teal undertones – this one is a Vinylux polish (I think I linked the right color) which is supposed to last around 10-14 days on your nails! I’m excited to see how long it lasts. Manna did an amazing job shaping my nails to be square with slightly rounded off corners. On my toes I went with a color that would be perfect for my trip – a subtle periwinkle. I feel slightly weird about putting a giant picture of my toes here so you’ll have to just take my word for it that it’s a pretty color :)
Overall, I can’t say enough about how much I loved this place. Even if you’re not into getting your nails done, you will like this place. I love to support local businesses, especially ones that are supporting others in turn as well. If you’re in the area, you have to try this place out!
