As a sparkle lover, I was ecstatic when Rocksbox reached out and invited me to try out their jewelry subscription service as a Shine Insider. I also love free things…so stick around and at the end of this Rocksbox review there will be a code that gets you a free month of Rocksbox. There is no obligation to pay for the service after the month, so feel free to just get pampered by getting these boxes of bling sent to your home within the first month if you’re on a tight budget! You can always rejoin and become a subscriber later and your profile will keep everything from the first month.
How does Rocksbox work? When you sign up, you take a fun style quiz (just like most other subscription services like DailyLook Elite and StitchFix). You can also add pieces that you love to a wishlist from the Rocksbox website and by commenting on their Instagram photos with #wishlist. Based on this, the stylists at Rocksbox will help grant your wishes and curate a box of 3 pieces of jewelry to send your way!
How much does it cost? After your free month that you can get on Rocksbox because they’re being so nice to my readers, if you so choose to become a subscriber, it costs $19 a month. Shipping (including returns) is absolutely free!
Why should you try out Rocksbox? There is a huge variety of jewelry that is all really high quality designer jewelry. Like the typical fashion lover, I love to try new things often and often feel that I can’t because I’m not always ready to commit to higher end pieces. This is a really affordable way to try new pieces and mix and match pieces to elevate your everyday style.
How can you get the most out of your free month of Rocksbox? My tip is to spend some time to add the items you love to your wishlist on the website. As soon as you receive a box, go online and rate your pieces in the box so that the stylists can curate your next box faster. Wear your jewelry as much as you want but don’t hang onto it forever unless 1) you really can’t imagine getting better pieces that month or 2) you want to purchase a piece. (If you want to buy a piece, you will get money to spend credited to you every month for FREE and members get discounts. Simply don’t send that piece back in your return box and the curators will know that you purchased it.) I wore the jewelry in my first Rocksbox for only the working week and dropped off my return package with USPS today. Perk for West Coasters – Rocksbox is located in San Francisco, so the packages will get to you super quickly. I live in Seattle and it really only takes 1-2 business days for me to get the packages. That means you can receive and send back pieces many times in a month and really get some use out of this free month!
So now that I’ve told you about the service, I want to show you my first Rocksbox haul!
Perry Street Becca Necklace
Gorjana Mave Shimmer Double Studs
Perry Street Brianna Bracelet
I am a big fan of the bracelet and necklace (one of my wishlist items!) but the earrings were not my favorite. I typically only wear studs, which I mentioned in my style survey, but I still got sent these. The beauty of Rocksbox is that I just sent them back in my box and tomorrow I will have a new one waiting in my mailbox!
